Proposals has been finished
The deadline for the 1st Call for Proposal has passed on January
30, 2004, 16:00 PM Beijing time. Any application received after
the deadline will be automatically rejected even if the postmark
indicates a date preceding the deadline or if the delay is due to
the private courier service.
The Programme Management Office received numerous proposals from
all over China.
Based on the number of proposals received, it is estimated that
between 4 to 8 weeks be needed before the Programme Management Office
is able to announce the decision. The Programme Management Office
kindly asks all applicants to contact our website in order to get
the latest news.
Meanwhile, the preparation work for the launch of the 2nd Call
for Proposals will be started. Indicative date is April, 2004. The
priorities and sub-priorities will then be published. For more information

The Programme Management Office (PMO) of the EU-China
Small Projects Facility Programme is seeking proposals to support
China's reform process and to integrate China further into the world
economy.
The priorities for this call for proposals are: social and economic
reform, WTO related isues, promotion of mutual cultural understanding
and environment. Action must take place in the People's Republic
of China (excluding special administrative regions) and the Member
States of the European Union. Financial assistance will be available
from the EU-China Small Projects Facility Programme of the European
Communities. The funding available for any one project is between
EUR 50.000,- (minimum amount) and EUR 100.000,- (maximum amount).
The overall indicative amount made available under this 1st Call
for Proposals is EUR 1.7 million. The full Guidelines for Applicants

A briefing session for potential applicants will be held in Beijing
on Wednesday 10th December 2003 at 15:00 h. The purpose of the briefing
is to explain the procedures and requirements of preparing an application.
A representative from each applicant organisation is welcome to
attend the session but registration to attend the briefing is required.
